My name is Bernardo, and I am a Portuguese music producer and sound designer working with several artists, film scoring, music, and sound design for video games. My interest in music and sound was born early due to the influence of my grandfather, who was a professional musician. Since I was six years old, I remember spending afternoons in his studio playing with his guitars and synthesizers. Later, at 16, I started studying music professionally when I enrolled in the professional jazz music course (Jazz Ao Norte).

In 2012, I joined “Universidade Católica do Porto” a university in Oporto City, to study Sound Production for Cinema. "Casas Caiadas" and "Catatuas Catatónicas" are two of the films made in that academic environment, where I was responsible for the sound design and the original soundtrack, which were nominated for several national and international film awards, winning two of them. In 2015, while working at the same institution, I decided to deepen my knowledge in Sound, starting a Master's degree in 3D Immersive Sound for Video Games and Virtual Reality.

Since 2019, I have been working full-time in the iGaming industry. I am currently the lead sound designer at Darwin Interactive, where I manage a team of professionals responsible for creating all sound in the games. We create original music and sound design and implement it in the game engine.

In 2020, I participated in a worldwide music production competition organized by one of the biggest studios in Latin America, Midas Studios. I won it and had the opportunity to travel to São Paulo (Brazil) to meet and follow the projects of a multi-award-winning team with several Latin Grammys, with whom I continue to work as a freelancer these days.

In the last three years, I have dedicated most of my time to Sound Design and its study field. I've been focusing on technologies like Godot, Wwise, Dolby Atmos, and Sound Particles to create spatial and immersive sound content for video games and VR.
